  1. Ahh, been so long since I've been able to catch up on the blogs. Good to see the bugs are back! I saw my first (three) twelve-spotted lady beetle yesterday while doing yard work. Great shot of the flower fly in flight!

  2. We are just (just!) starting to see some nice blooms here, and the insects with them...it's a wonderful time of year. Your photos are lovely!

  3. Welcome back Moe, been a long time since I've seen you here. I bet you are getting as anxious as I am for the insects and interesting sights of warmer weather. I've seen a few of the Pink-Spotted lady beetles. In fact I found a spot in my garden where 100's of them must have overwintered. When I began pulling weeds they all came out from under a clump of some ornamental grass. Quite a sight to see. Thank you for the comment on the fly photo, but I assure you it was an accident...lol

Geek--When I saw your post on the snow last week I felt your pain! I was beginning to think spring would never arrive here. It is shaping up now though. Thank you for the compliment.

  5. I saw a Pink-Spotted Lady Beetle on the front door yesterday while I squeegeed the glass. I am so excited!! Something besides those imposter Lady Bugs-the Asian Beetles. Your header is very cool!

Pix over at Rural Rambles :)

  6. I know what you mean Rural. I get the same way when I see native ladybugs. There are so few of them these days. I will hop over and look at your pictures. Thank you so much for your kind comments.
