About Me

My photo
Shelly Cox
I grew up in NW Missouri and have stayed within 15 miles of my home town my entire life. I've been married for 37 years and have two beautiful, amazing grown children. We live on 86 acres and raise corn and soybeans. I work as a naturalist/interpreter for a the Remington Nature Center in St. Joseph, MO. My job has allowed me to share my love of all things nature with anyone willing to listen. We've recently turned a portion of our farm into a rescue for unwanted and neglected tortoises and turtles and are running a sanctuary/rescue for their long term care.
